I really liked Grace, and while I had hoped she'd stick around, it did make me feel her death more. Plus maybe Graham will be reminiscent of Donna's grandfather who I adored. I thought Whittaker did a good job as the Doctor, but the problem is that Broadchurch is fresh in my mind, and her character on there was so well played I hated her. (The character, not Whittaker!) I need to get that out of my head and see only the Doctor. I haven't watched any of the other episodes yet, but I'm eager. Like a lot of Star Wars fans, The Last Jedi didn't end up being like what I expected it to be. Still, even though I walked out of the theater with a lot of negative feelings including disappointment, the film has stayed with me, which means something. Finally, I agree with you regarding the humor. I think it took away from some moments that could have had some high drama. Luke tossing the light saber over his shoulder, and Kylo getting a dressing down from Snoke at the beginning of the film could have been incredibly powerful had they not been preceded by Poe's frat boy-like messing around with Hux. A friend has a theory that Hux will turn on Kylo in Chapter IX. LOL! I guess we'll see. Thanks for the critique.
